2012 - 2014 |
Purdue University, MS Electrical and Computer Engineering
My studies at Purdue focused on Computer Architecture. My master's thesis focused on GPU design, analyzing the memory patterns of GPGPU applications to inform possible microarchitectural techniques.

2008 - 2012 |
University at Buffalo, BS Computer Engineering, BA Mathematics
At Buffalo, my favorite classes revolved around computer design rather than pure software engineering. This interest is what led me to study computer architecture at Purdue.

2016 - 2018 |
AMD, Senior Design Engineer, Floating Point Verification
At AMD, I worked on the floating point verification (FP) team. In short, I helped write and run software that tested our designs for our floating point unit (this is the unit that does decimal math, among other things). In practice, I did a lot of work interfacing with other teams to ensure our different units were interacting with each other properly. This included debugging failures both within the FP and the other interfacing units.

2014 - 2015 |
AMD, Design Engineer 2, Floating Point Verification
See description for my Senior Design Engineer position above!
|
2013 |
AMD, Co-Op Engineer, Floating Point Verification
As a co-op engineer at AMD, I worked to help test and shape our internal implementation of the ARM ISA. This involved running tests, debugging implementation issues, and identifying potential performance improvements to our current design.

2014 - 2015 |
Engineers for a Sustainable World, Deputy Director
As the Deputy Director at ESW, I oversaw our five internal departments, ran executive committee meetings, and helped facilitate interdepartmental collaboration. Another major component of my work was leading our Leadership Team recruitment, including reaching out to potential candidates and organizing and running interviews.

2013 - 2014 |
Engineers for a Sustainable World, Chapter Relations Coordinator
In my role as Chapter Relations Coordinator, I was responsible for overseeing the Midwestern region of collegiate chapters. This included developing relationships with chapter leaders and providing resources and advice to help their chapters grow and thrive. I also took the initiative to head up a merchandising effort to provide various ESW items to students, such as graduation stoles.

Mopeds, Hobbyist Mechanic and Rider
I caught the moped bug when interning at AMD. My roommates of the time both had mopeds, and a couple months in I finally rode one. Since then, I've acquired numerous mopeds, worked on them, and learned a ton about the mechanical world!

Mountain Biking, Rookie Rider
After living in Colorado for so long, it's only a matter of time before at least some part of the outdoor lifestyle wears off on you. For me, it was biking -- first road and then mountain. I'm still new to the game, but really enjoy it!

2014 - present |
Real Tacos, Eater
I'm talking real, authentic, Mexican tacos. My good friend, of Mexican and Columbian descent, introduced me to authentic tacos. Since then, I've been hooked! I'm always in search of the best tacos in town.

Guitar, Amateur Jammer
I picked up guitar starting right before I went to college, and it's been a consistent on-again off-again hobby. I have a sexy shark-shaped electric and a beautiful blue acoustic!
